Hi everybody, I have a problem with a ECM CM870 cummins, some days ago the truck turn off without reason, I scanned it and I found a 5080 error, so, these error means the ROM was boot, I loaded the incal and after some trials and errors I achieved a decent template, but after some hours with the truck working the ROM booted again, I loaded it againt but afert 15 minutes the ROM booted again, I did it again and happend again.

Anyone know what might be happening? or any idea what to check?
I have knowledge on electronic but I'm really new on ECM's

Sounds like ecm has internal memory failure. I'd find another Cm870 ECM even a test ecm.
