Methods for testing modified Cummins Cals?
#1
Hey everyone

I’m wondering if there are any software methods for testing modified Cummins calibrations? (Engine sims, etc)

Most of the engines I work on are returned to service very quickly which don’t give any time to test cals.

I know there are some Cummins experts in here and I’m looking for some advice.

Thanks in advance!

Cummins NEMESIS is used for training internal employees and has the ability to populate ECM data and simulate specific Cummins ECMs. There are some that will bench test but that only tests the ECM and maybe some sensor data, but nothing is ever going to beat a real test on a running engine.
If I helped in any way, please give THANKS + REP!

No problem, you can also use MATLAB Simulink. Smile

nemesis is decent if you know how cummins assembles the configs.  You can convert specific configs and calibrations and run them through different simulations for a decent testing experience.  Dont expect it to just work out of the box though.

On engine testing is best obviously

I remember opening Nemesis and not even understanding the first thing about opening a file. Lol

Maybe I need to work at it more

I do have matlab simulink but i have very basic knowledge. If anyone please share source files for Cummins simulation. Thanks in advance
