Calterm v3. 1.7 connection issue - Retired - 10-17-2024

Anybody install calterm v3.1.7 and not be able to connect to their truck through an inline 6 ? I connect fine using insite but calterm will not connect. The reconnect and reset buttons are greyed out, not sure if this is normal.

Do you have the correct metafiles (.ecfgs)?

Possibly not. Would that keep me from being able to connect? My understanding of metafiles is that they are the files need for reflashimg or tuning\tweaking the ecm programs. I could definitely be wrong on that. I'm not trying make major changes , I really just want to understand what's going on in the ecm right now.

Yes it would. You have to have the metafile/.ecfg file just to connect to the ecm, much less do anything esle.
